I am sure that everyone that tries to live a healthier lifestyle knows that a smoothie is the easiest healthy breakfast you can possibly make! It’s not only easy but also packed with so much nutrition. This avocado, kale and apple green smoothie is definitely your quick easy morning nutritional bomb! It’s dairy free too!
I have to admit that I rarely eat raw kale in salads, yes it’s super healthy and it’s full of of vitamins but there is something about its texture that I am not always crazy about. That’s why I always use it for my green smoothies, once it’s blended, I love it! This smoothie is so creamy and that’s all thanks to the avocado. It adds so much creaminess, you will need a lot of yogurt to create such a thick creamy smoothie but with just half of avocado it becomes so unbelievably velvety and rich! The delicious apple adds sweetness to the whole mixture, it’s always better to add a sweeter fruit to the smoothie to balance the taste. I prefer adding a red apple but a green one will give it a bit of a sour taste too!
These three ingredients work so well together, they make the perfect smoothie!
To add extra protein to my smoothie I use my favourite clean, plant-based hemp protein powder. Unlike whey protein powders and other animal-based protein products this one is free from GMO or any other unnecessary additives like artificial colours and nasty sweeteners. 100% hemp!
The Avocado and Kale green smoothie is very high in the following nutrients:

…and many more! It sounds like I am selling the smoothie but I just really love it!
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup kale
- 1 small apple (red or green - your choice)
- 1 cup water to make it really thick, add more water if you want to adjust the texture
- 1 tsp honey (optional, if you would like it sweeter)
- Add all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more water if needed.
