A truly nutritious Avocado and Blueberry smoothie! How can it not be when it’s made of these two super fruits! Both are in the top 10 most nutritious fruits and vegetables. Blueberries are ranked No. 1 in antioxidant activity and are full of vitamins. Avocados on the other hand provide you with all 18 essential amino acids to help the body synthesize proteins. It also contains healthy monounsaturated fats.
The avocado will also give the smoothie its creamy texture. The colour of your one might be more purple than the pictures due to the fact that I have increased the blueberries in the recipe.
This smoothie is perfect for an energising and nutritious breakfast!
Ingredients
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 2 cups almond milk (to make it lighter substitute some of it with water)
- organic hemp protein powder (optional)
Instructions
- Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add more milk or water if needed to adjust the thickness of the smoothie.
